Philadelphia Phillies

Philadelphia Phillies
How does the Philadelphia Phillies begin defending their World Series title? The answer is by topping the Colorado Rockies 5-1 in the opening playoff Wednesday. One of the reasons why the Phillies dominated the game is the way Cliff Lee pitched. He pitched as if he's not just an off-season rookie; he struck out five and allowed no walks. 16 batters were retired because of his good throws, only Garret Atkins was able to hit a double in the seventh inning. Cliff Lee proves that he is indeed the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner.
