Debt Consolidation Advices

If one's debt is not taken cared of and allowed to accumulate without control it could bury you alive with no ope of getting out of it with a clean name. It is good to take care of our debts so that we have control over them and not the other way around. In the USA, the average family is in debt to over $9,000 in unsecured debt that are made through credit cards, medical bills, payday loans, and other things. It is important to have some debt consolidation so that we can have good control over our mounting debts. Debt consolidation is the process of consolidating or putting together all of ones credit card payments, medical bills, and payday loans or personal loans into one low monthly payment. Because this is a negotiation process with the creditors, usually no new loans are needed. It is important to clear your debt without the necesary headache that comes along with it. Finding a non profit debt consolidation is very much of help to people who are carrying the weight of their debts.

There are many ways to consolidate your debts can consolidate your debts, one of those is the home equity loan where in you can use your home as collateral to get a loan. The interest rate of home equity loan is low because it is a secured loan. Secure loan is better than unsecured loan because a loan without security or collateral has higher rates. Credit card transfers are also an option but you must repay your outstanding debt within the time frame of the low introductory rate. Retirement funds and life insurance are also available and must be looked into. There are credit unions that you can approach that offer loans usually at lower interest rates and fees. If you are not yet a member, find out if you are eligible to join one.

The best way to handle one's debt is through consolidation so start consolidating your debt now.

Seeing Frugal with ZenniOptical

The economy is rolling on a downward slope and we're not really sure as to when it would start going up. As of now all we could do is cut much from some of our unnecessary spending and just tighten our belts a little for this hard time. My family is adjusting to the present slump in economy which is affecting almost every country in the world by becoming wise in our spending. We know that we can still live a good life if we are wise when it comes to what to buy and where to buy it. This makes me think about my younger brother who started wearing eyeglasses when he was twelve. He is the kind of person who is very particular with the things he wear (and he has the tendency to overspend on his apparel) and this includes his eyeglasses. He sees his eyeglasses as a an item of fashion, just like his shirt and jeans. Now I snt him an SMS message reminding him of his moral obligation to be frugal in times like this. I told him about Zenni Optical, a site where he can buy stylish prescription glasses for as low as $8. I know that he is very choosy when it comes to eyeglasses but i am sure that he'd have many good frames to choose from in Zenni Optical. I know that my brother equates price with quality but I explained to him that the reason why Zenni Optical could give their stylish eyeglasses for such low low prices is the fact that they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with out middlemen and almost no advertising budget. Zenni optical is even mentioned in the book Living Rich by Spending Smart which shows how wise a choice it would be to buy our prescription glasses from them especially during these hard times.

Investing in Casco Antiguo

Hotel-view01-old

There are many places in the world that I would like to visit. Most of these places are in Europe but there are also places in North and Central America that I would like to go to. What makes me want to visit a place? Well, there are many factors but one strong factor is the richness of the heritage and culture of a place. Would you belive me that there is one place in Central America that I would like to visit? Yes, Panama. Don't be surprised, and yes, you heard it right, Panama. Most of us know the name but I know that majority of those who know the name know little about this country. I have seen many pictures and I have read some magazine that cover Panama. I have also visited sites about Panama. What makes me interested in this place by the way? The rich pre-Columbian heritage of the people of this place that could be traced back to thousands of years. And it is still evident in the art and artifacts you'll find there today.

There is one place in Panama that I really like, it is Casco Antiguo. The UNESCO recognized this place as a world heritage. Casco Antiguo is a very interesting place because of many physical and universal aspects of this historical location. The rich architechtural styles in the buildings that line the brick streets of Casco Antiguo show Panama's diverse culture and history. In this region you can see old churches, ruins that speak a lot about a rich history, and there are museums too.

Casco Antiguo was a place of commerce in the past, now it is a tourist destination. The place is so scenic and there would be a lot of opportunities to take pictures with the great architectural backdraft. Casco Antiguo is located just a few minutes away of downtown Panama City.

Now, there is another thing that makes casco antiguo a very attractive place to visit, Hotel Casco Antiguo - a condo hotel in the region. Hotel Casco Antiguo is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Panama. This hotel has a very good Andalusian ambiance. The Andalusian details is crossed with modernity and sophistication, this is something that other mainstream hotels could not offer. Hotel Casco Antiguo is on the process of becoming a condominium-hotel with 34 rooms complete with amenities. This is a good opportunity for real estate investment. It would be nice to make it as a retirement place, a second home. Investing in a place like this could give back many returns because in one of the fastest growing real estate markets in the world.

NASA and US Military Use iLASIK

The US Department of Defense and NASA are now using LASIK technology to increase their mission-critical personnel's performance. These two agencies in the US know that it is not only trough the best training that they could make their personnel perform their best but also through their perfect physical condition. Good eyesight is always the most important quality that members of the military must have in order to perform well in their duties. So to improve the vision of their specialized personnel who, in the performance of their duties, face physically demanding situations, the US Department of Defense and NASA are now using this technology that has benefited civilians in the last five years. According to Steven Schallhorn, M.D., a retired U.S. Navy captain and leader of clinical research and studies done for the DOD regarding the use of LASIK, NASA and the DOD have validated LASIK's safety and effectiveness, it has been proven that LASIK technology exceeds any established standard when it comes to safety and effectiveness.

Some people are apprehensive about undergoing the LASIK procedure but with proper LASIK information, they would surely lose all their fear about going through this kind of surgery. The newer and better form of this technology, iLASIK uses two lasers instead of only one. The first step involves mapping of the unique characteristics of one's eyes using wave-front technology. A computer guided laser then creates a cornial flap. This laser is computer guided so it is pricise. This procedure is much much safer than what was used during the earlier periods of LASIK because the hand-held microkeratome blade is eliminated.

Now that the US military and NASA are using iLASIK I am sure that you are now thinking about improving your vision with this technology.

What's Your Favorite Seafood Recipe?

Like my husband, I love seafood that is why I always try to find ways to learn new seafood recipes every now and then. A couple of hours ago, while searching the net for a new seafood recipe, I stumbled upon www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com, a site that showcases chefs and domestic, sustainable seafood recipes. It was like stumbling upon a treasure chest, I could learn a lot from what is shared by chefs in this site. At present there is an on going contest in the site, the 2008 Great American Seafood Cook-off. The top five finalists' dishes in this cook off are presented and I admit that the five dishes are really mouth-watering. But the one I really like among the five dishes is from the state of Louisiana, Chef Brian Landry's Louisiana Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet. I could imagine how it would taste by just looking at the image of the food and reading the recipe. Another thing that makes it stand out among the five is that we seldom see shrimp and sausage mixed in one dish but here in this seafood dish we are presented with the unlikely combination that is really appealing, making me wish to taste it also. I know that I would find it hard to find Louisiana Shrimp in my place but shrimp is shrimp, so if I would cook something like this I could just substitute the Louisiana Shrimp with the kind of shrimp that is found in my place. I could also use another kind of sausage. Cooking is an art, it involves imagination. If a person has enough imagination he or she could be a great cook or chef.

I know that we have different preferences. Why not visit www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com and choose and vote for the dish that appeals to you. Voting could win you a trip to New Orleans.

Having domestic seafood always on our tables is really great for mommies like me. Seafood should always have fresh ingredients and making use of domestic ingredients ensures freshness. Aside from this, nothing really tastse better than what is in our own place.
