It's Fun to Create Faces

My son is turning 4 next year and I am excited on how we shall celebrate his birthday. His birthday falls on April 1 and that is an April Fools celebration, so I decided to have a clown for him. He loves clowns because they have face paint that makes them attractive to kids plus their playful way of showing things makes them funny to kids too.

Another thing that I wanted to be the highlight of Joshua's party would be the face painting that would be done on the beginning of the party. I have about 4 months to prepare and so I scouted on face paintings around our malls so I could test it on my face. This is to make sure that no skin allergy may occur and to prevent bad experience for the kids who will apply paint on their faces.

So after I found good face paints I searched online for tips and tricks, and on face painting designs. I is then that I came upon this wonderful website named VideoShelf.com. In this site I found these beautiful ways of painting designs on faces from kids to grown up.

I told my husband to check out and buy me one of their DVD's. I really love the Create Faces™ Face Painting: Masquerade. It is the perfect one to do the different clown designs for my sons party. Now I am really so excited on how much the enjoyment of my son and his friends on that party be.

Weekend Swim

It was so hot and my son was restless. He wanted to grab attention from his dad who was at his deadline with the drawings for a book that was to be published. Josh was in tears when an idea popped out of my mind. "Let's go for a swim!" I shouted and started preparing for it with my hubbies approval c: It's a good thing there's a near by pool and resort at where we live wherein we could just call a tricycle and pay P20 (pakyaw kung baga). When you arrive there you only have to pay P10 for an adult as an entrance fee and P5 for a child. Cottage is for P50 but we don't need one because there were near by trees where there is shade and we could just spread our malong (a piece of clothe usually worn as a dress, blanket or even shawl for the Mindanaons).

We chose a tree nearest to us so we could see our things while swimming c: Josh and I had fun by the pool about 2 hours was enough and I could see that he had fun and now by this time he is exhausted so I called him back to me. We showered and packed to leave.

At home he was all smiles and with enthusiast while telling his story to his dad c: It really is nice to see my little boy having fun and it makes me happy and have fun also with him. Another bonding time for both of us c: P50 was a small amount to see my son enjoy and I had fun as well c: We shall be back soon on another weekend of fun c:

Weekend Play

Another part of the celebration in our town is the opening of this wonderful playground. My little boy has been one of the kids looking forward to play there. It was summer time when they started to uproot the trees and remove the swing, see saw, slides etc. It made Josh say "sipain ko yan sila lahat!" (I'll give them all a kick) as mentioned in an older post.

Here is Josh with his kuya Ez- J when the playground was still on the process of construction.

This week we had 2 visits in the playground and to our dismay it was close. First it was full of children and I know that my little boy would not enjoy playing there. Second time it was again under repairs because of the damages it got from too many kids playing there during the week long anniversary celebration.

And so at last my boy had his chance this very day. He really had a great time and I was enjoying too while watching him run and go up the stairs. He was overwhelmed and so are the other kids playing with him. At first I was the only one doing the picture taking after they saw me all the other parents joined in. It was funny because they were all in the shade while their kids are enjoying. Some with their yayas (nannies) who seemed to be not in the mood to join in the fun.

I Have Just Stumbled Upon A Site

I have just stumbled upon a site that is interesting. This site will awaken the artist in you. Even if you say that you have no talent in art you would still be able to create masterpieces in digital art that are as beautiful as the works of Jackson Pollock. See me creations below. When you are at the site just experiment with the mouse, double-clicks and right-clicks and see how good you are at abstract art. I want to share it to you. Here's the link : JacksonPollock.org

Playing Dad

One day when he was two, I found my son wearing his Dad’s shoes and T-shirt. I had to laugh because he was so small and cute inside his dad’s things. I immediately got the camera and took this picture.

He loves watching his Dad fixing things in the house; an electric fan, a light bulb or anything inside our house that needs fixing. In this next picture his Dad made him finish tightening the screws of an old electric fan.

last December, some four months before he turned three, we bought him a blue bike as a Christmas present. He loves biking nowadays. Josh keeps bringing it outside to play with his friends and it keeps him busy. Then one day the small wheels of his bike was disalinged and dad had to fix it. So Josh placed himself beside his dad again and watch him fix it and assisted him by handing out tools his dad needed. I took a photo of it :
