Mindanao Bloggers Summit is Tomorrow

I have been busy preparing for the Summit for tomorrow and here is one of the products of it c:

Here is our (me and Pasti's) EPass for the Summit laminated.

We need Id's and I don't have any to show for now because I haven't started work yet. So I went to our local department and asked for a voters ID requirement. To my dismay I need to register but there were no schedules for registration until election time :c I was also pissed off on the way another lady near the person I am talking to was making her remarks, and kept butting in without looking at me. She also was not in a good tone of voice when she answers back. In the first place I was not talking to her, so I decided to give her this "I am new here and that is why I am asking for help and instructions!" (enough for her to hear it) I had to say it in English so she would know that I am not a common uneducated woman and that it's their duty to assist me! So to cut the story short I was refered to the Postal Office to get a postal ID.

I arrived there and was told that it would be finished in a weeks time. I told them I need it by Friday, to my surprise he told me that they can speed the process by handing him P400. WHAT!!!! Imagine that! Under The Table! HUH! Bakit nga ba ako nagugulat pa e ganyan naman talaga sa Government natin diba?! (Why would I be shocked when it is really like that in our Government). It is sad how people in our government can manipulate their own race :c

I decided not to give in and look for a place to print our EPass and laminate it as well. When I arrived there I had a chat with the owner and shared my problem regarding the postal ID and the under the table thing. She taold me that she has a solution if I am willing she would make me a fake ID. It really looked real, very tempting but I had second thoughts because that would be cheating. Cheap price for something that may give me a headache and may even end up in jail. And maybe I won't be caught but still my concience would be eating me c:

Wow! All that for one day! Wooh! Am glad I went through with it with God's grace and Him guiding me c: I also thank Him that I decided well and ended the day with pride c:

I and my family will be busy and will not be available for a few days. We'll be back to update you on the Summit c: God bless our weekend c:

Dinner Time is Family Time

Dinners should always be special. I do not mean to say that dinners should always be candlelit and the food should always be expensive. We may not have noticed it but dinner is the glue that holds the family together. Modern life is very busy and everyone is occupied with something. Breakfasts are always brisk because everyone is in a hurry because no one wants to be late. My family is young and small so it is only my husband who is always in a hurry during the mornings but I know that a year from now, our mornings would be spent hurrying (our little boy would be going to school next year) through the morning rush. Our lunch would not always be complete because there are time that my husband would decide to eat out or stay in the office to work, this is also true with other families. The parents have lunch in the work place and the children have it in school. So it leaves dinner as the only time when family members catch up with each other. Television must be turned off during dinner. Cellphones must be ignored. If it is dinner time it should be time to talk with family members. The little talks we have over dinner are actually what keep us together. We may take it for granted but family dinners keep family members close to each other. For me, family dinners are always special.
