The USA Women's Hockey surprised China Women's team with a 12-1 blow. This was the opener match and the US team really rubbed it in on China who managed to score 1 point in the last 3 remaining minutes of the game.

The United States' first game in the Winter Olympics women's hockey tournament went very well, with a 12-1 romp over China on Sunday. Jenny Potter scored three goals in the first 22 minutes while becoming the leading scorer in U.S. Olympic history.
Meghan Duggan scored twice for the U.S.
China fell behind 11-0 before scoring with 2:21 remaining in the game.
