Paula Abdul Twitter

So it's final, Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol, she has announced it in her Twitter that she won't be back for the next American Idol season. Fox has also issued a statement about Abdul's departure from the reality show:

"Paula Abdul has been an important part of the 'American Idol' family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she's a tremendous talent and we wish her the best."

Alexis Cohen

Do you remember Alexis Cohen? That girl who wanted to be American Idol and who auditioned twice for the show? She auditioned for American Idol season 7 and 8 but was dismissed both times because she was not deemed serious enough for the contest. The sad thing is that she was found dead today at 4:00 am in Seaside Heights, NJ. The cause of her death is still unknown as autopsy is still going on. She was only 25.

Just yesterday she posted a video of her stand up comedy act on her My Space blog. Beneath the video was a line from her which reads : Im Tiered And I know All you Mo Fo's can Relate, "The Phonetic Spelling of Phuck"

American Idol Voting Controversy

There are rumors coming out that the voting in American Idol where Kris Allen won has some irregularities. It is said that some AT&T employees were present at an undetermined number of pro-Allen parties in the singer's hometown of Conway, Arkansas, last week, helping his supporters lodge multiple votes. But AT&T and Fox say that this is a non-issue. Here's the statement from the show's producers, FremantleMedia North America, 19 Entertainment, and Fox Broadcasting Company. "
"Fox and the producers of 'American Idol' are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified,Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the 'American Idol.' We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to insure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition."
