Nam Da Reum is joining the cast of JTBC's upcoming drama "MY YOUTH" (working title)! His agency, BAA, confirmed reports that he will portray the younger version of Song Joong Ki's character, Sunwoo Hae.
"MY YOUTH" is a romance that tells the story of Sunwoo Hae, a novelist and florist who was once a famous child actor but now lives a more ordinary life, and Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), who must disrupt her first love's peace for her own success. The drama follows their reunion after more than ten years, as they reconnect and create new memories together, having previously supported each other during difficult times.
Sunwoo Hae's past as a child actor makes Nam Da Reum a perfect fit. Known for his portrayals of younger versions of leading men in dramas like "Boys Over Flowers" (his debut), "Pinocchio," "Six Flying Dragons," "Hotel Del Luna," and "A Piece of Your Mind," Nam Da Reum has a strong track record in this area.
This project marks Nam Da Reum's return to acting after his military service. His recent role in "The History of Us" earned him the Drama Special Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards.
"MY YOUTH" is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
