Lizzie Miller Model

Like most women past the age of 30, I keep worrying about my body, I keep complaining about that extra fat sticking out of my abs. My hubby keeps telling me that I am still sexy but I couldn't believe him. He says that most women has the same tummy as me and that it's the normal tummy. The abs that most women strive for are not normal abs he says, they are in magazines because they are extra ordinary. So he says that I should be comfortable with my body because it's normal and it's sexy.

I guess my hubby is right because the September issue of Glamour magazine is featuring Lizzie Miller, model for the normal woman. In the pictures shown below, you can see that Miller's tummy is not that skinny and tight but still she looks sexy. She's comfortable with her body. The photographer who took these shots is Walter Chin.

Here's what Miller says about being comfortable with her body:

“When I was young I really struggled with my body and how it looked because I didn’t understand why my friends were so effortlessly skinny. As I got older I realized that everyone’s body is different and not everyone is skinny naturally–me included! I learned to love my body for how it is, every curve of it.”

Thanks for blogging about Lizzie Miller. I posted an article on my Blog, Aberration Nation, back when the Glamour 70th Anniversery issue came out. It expresses concern over the conflict with the article featuring Lizzie and the other more standard photo shoots in the magazine. Glamour responded to my post by reiterating all they've done for women. They have done a TREMENDOUS amount but I hope to see more from them and others in the industry.
