Bataan Death March

I am a Filipino and Bataan Death March is an important part in the history of my country. Many books have been written about this part in history and it seems that more would be written. Now a new book about it was launched, “Tears in the Darkness: The Story of the Bataan Death March and its Aftermath." Richard Pyle of Associated press described it as “an extremely detailed and thoroughly chilling treatment that, given the passage of time and thinning of ranks, could serve as popular history’s final say on the subject.” The authors of the book are Michael Norman and Elizabeth Norman, they spent 10 years to write the book. The book is based on hundreds of interviews with American, Filipino and Japanese combatants.
