Are illicit affairs part of politics? Well it seems that politicians are into getting caught having an affair these days. This time it's Chip Pickering, the Mississippi Republican. Yes, his wife is spilling the beans folks, she claims that her husband had an affair that ruined their marriage and destroyed his political career. Leisha Pickering is demanding to be paid for the damage her husband has caused her. She filed an alienation of affection lawsuit this week against Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd of Jackson, the mistress of her husband.

Pickering was a congressman during the mid 90's. He retired on January. He and his wife are on the process of completing their divorce. He did not give any comment about the case file by his wife but just said that his marriage is irreparably damaged.
