Get ready for some serious on-screen sparks! Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo are teaming up for a new drama, "Slowly but Intensely" (working title), written by acclaimed screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung (known for "It's Okay, That's Love," "Our Blues," and more). Filming officially began on January 12th.
The drama, set in the 1960s and 70s, will offer a realistic portrayal of the broadcasting world, exploring the lives of both the stars in the spotlight and the dedicated individuals working behind the scenes.
This project marks a reunion for several key players. Song Hye Kyo is working with Noh Hee Kyung for the third time, having previously collaborated on "Worlds Within" (2008) and "That Winter, The Wind Blows" (2013). Her recent short haircut was specifically for this role, as she revealed on the YouTube channel "Fairy Jaehyung," mentioning the 60s/70s setting.
Gong Yoo is also reuniting with director Lee Yoon Jung, their second collaboration after the popular drama "Coffee Prince."
"Slowly but Intensely" is planned as a 22-episode series and is aiming to wrap filming in the first half of the year. Discussions are underway for a Netflix release.
