Part 2 of "The Glory" rose to the third position in Netflix's global rankings within one day of its release on the 10th. The story follows Moon Dong-eun's (played by Song Hye-kyo) quest for revenge against her perpetrators, including Park Yeon-jin (played by Im Ji-yeon) and her friends, after suffering violence in her school days. Part 2 received a positive response globally, ranking third in Netflix's TV program category and first in 26 countries, including Bolivia, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and Korea.

Kim Eun-sook expressed her admiration for the second part's script, which was written exceptionally well. Part 2 depicts Moon Dong-eun's refreshing revenge with the help of Kang Hyun-nam (played by Yum Hye-ran) and Ju Yeo-jeong (played by Lee Do-hyun). Park Yeon-jin retaliates and causes Moon Dong-eun more pain by using her mother as a new pawn. However, the end is bittersweet as Moon Dong-eun succeeds in her revenge against Park Yeon-jin and other perpetrators, and Park Yeon-jin is imprisoned in a correctional facility when the truth is revealed. Moon Dong-eun finally achieves her desired revenge and finds glory and peace.

Celebrities who watched "The Glory" praised the drama, and Time Magazine evaluated it as a narrative about bigger social inequality that both teenagers and adults can relate to, focusing on the mental pain that school violence victims who were not protected by adults experience as they grow up. During a recent talk event, Song Hye-kyo expressed her gratitude for the positive response, despite the challenges of attempting a new genre.

The success of "The Glory" can be attributed to Song Hye-kyo's bravery in attempting a new genre and Kim Eun-sook's ability to deliver great works consistently. Their meeting was certainly the right decision.

Upon the release of Part 2 of the original Netflix series "The Glory", viewers experienced a temporary error on the streaming server for about a minute. The error, which corresponds to Netflix Error "NSES-500", typically occurs due to a temporary server problem, and users can resolve it by refreshing the page or reconnecting to Netflix.

Concerns had been raised about the server's ability to handle the influx of traffic upon the release of episode 9, and Netflix had attempted a "midterm event" on March 3rd with little success due to overwhelming traffic. However, despite the momentary error, the immense popularity of "The Glory" was made evident, with many viewers having to log in to Netflix with multiple devices to gain access to the video.

"The Glory" centers around Moon Dong Eun, played by Song Hye Kyo, and her revenge plan against those who have hurt her in the past after experiencing school violence as a child. Netflix apologized for the temporary error and announced a second event for viewers to participate in. Winners of the event will be contacted on March 22nd.

7 Interesting Facts About "The Glory" That You May Not Know About

Despite premiering a month ago, the show continues to generate significant interest among viewers, particularly as the second installment approaches its airing date.

Here are Seven interesting facts about The Glory featuring Song Hye Kyo that you do not know.

Number one. Writer Kim Eun Sook is paid a substantial salary per episode. Before the premiere of The Glory, Kim Eun Sook was already regarded as one of the most accomplished writers in Korean television. As such, it's not surprising that she receives a salary of up to 81,000 USD per episode.

Number two. The inspiration for the drama came to Writer Kim Eun Sook after the birth of her daughter. While Song Hye Kyo's portrayal in The Glory is deserving of praise, the writer behind the drama, Kim Eun Sook, also deserves recognition for her skillful script. When queried about the source of inspiration for the drama, Kim Eun Sook stated that it came from a question her daughter asked her: "Mom, which would make you more heartbroken: if I killed someone or if someone killed me?"

Number three. The reason Moon Dong Eun plays Go. In the game of Go, the objective is to quietly strategize to capture the opponent's territory and expand one's own. This parallels the desires of the main character Moon Dong Eun, who seeks to quietly orchestrate events to gradually ruin the lives of her high school bullies.

Number four. Song Hye Kyo spent 2 months preparing for the revealing scene. The scene in which Moon Dong Eun disrobes and displays her scars was one of the most impactful moments. According to the screenwriter, Song Hye Kyo dedicated 2 months to shedding weight in order to achieve the haunting image. To achieve this, Song Hye Kyo incorporated konjac, a type of food derived from yams that is popular in Japan and often used in weight-loss diets, into her meals.

Number five. The Glory marks Park Yeon Jin's first villain role. The Glory is seen as a career risk for Song Hye Kyo, who has long been associated with a specific image. Her portrayal of a nefarious woman consumed by revenge has been met with acclaim from audiences and critics alike. However, the drama holds significance not only for Song Hye Kyo but also for actress Lim Ji Yeon, who is known for her steamy roles, as it marks her debut as a villain.

Number six. The school violence depicted in The Glory was based on real-life events. During the early stages of filming, viewers were horrified by the depiction of school violence suffered by high school student Moon Dong Eun. These scenes were actually based on a real incident that occurred in 2006. At that time, a female student in Cheongju was repeatedly attacked by her classmates, who used iron rods and hairpins to inflict injuries on her arms and chest. The victim was also subjected to blackmail.

Number seven. Song Hye Kyo wanted to depict her character as aged as possible. In bringing her character to life, Song Hye Kyo suggested ways to make Moon Dong Eun appear "as old as possible" by unbuttoning her shirt or wearing natural makeup, to convey the sense that she was devoting all her time to planning her revenge.

It is Predicted that 'THE GLORY' will Have a Sad Ending

The release of the trailer for "The Glory" Part 2 has sparked a flurry of theories among internet users, who have been analyzing even the briefest moments of footage. On January 26th, a YouTube channel called Minhoaurs uploaded a video titled "Ultra-precise analysis that people who have only watched 'The Glory' Part 2 trailer once can never discover," which quickly gained popularity and amassed nearly a million views in just two days.

In the video, Minhoaurs begins by analyzing a scene in which Park Ji Ah, who plays Moon Dong Eun's mother, visits Moon Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo) with orange-dyed hair. It is suggested that the character of Park Yeon Jin (played by Lim Ji Yeon) will cause trouble for Moon Dong Eun in Part 2 by bribing her mother with money. However, as Moon Dong Eun has included her mother in her plans for revenge, the situation will likely be resolved quickly. Minhoaurs then goes on to provide detailed analysis of an amulet seen attached to the VIP personal safe of Park Yeon Jin's mother (played by Yoon Da Kyung), a wealthy woman.

Minhoaurs stated, "Korean shamanic amulets have a distinct shape for each individual who wears it, however, they share a common framework." This evidence suggests that the actions of Park Yeon Jin's mother are the result of a collaboration among many individuals, including a shaman and an illegal police officer named Shin Young Joon (played by Lee Hae Young).

In the trailer, the character of Lee Sara (played by Kim Hieora) is shown with blonde hair. Minhoaurs posits that Lee Sara's decision to bleach her hair is likely an attempt to avoid detection of drugs. The reasoning behind this is that bleaching can remove even trace amounts of drugs present in hair. Additionally, Minhoaurs suggests that the identity of the mysterious man who falls from the location where Yoon So Hee (played by Lee So Yi) died is Jeon Jae Joon (played by Park Sung Hoon), and thus it is likely that Jeon Jae Joon is the one who killed Yoon So Hee.

Minhoaurs stated, "If you adjust the brightness and process this scene in black and white, you can see a silhouette with long legs, a long coat, and flowing hair. I believe it's Yoon So Hee experiencing karma in the place where she died."

Minhoaurs also discussed the reason for Ha Do Yeong's (played by Jung Sung Il) anger towards Park Yeon Jin. It's because he saw a video of Park Yeon Jin and Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon) engaging in sexual activity. Minhoaurs predicted, "If you zoom in on Ha Do Yeong's eyes, you can see what appears to be a rectangular monitor screen." In regards to the ending, Minhoaurs predicted that Park Yeon Jin will sustain burns all over her body as a result of fire, and Moon Dong Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo) will undergo plastic surgery by Joo Yeo Jeong (played by Lee Do Hyun) to assume the identity of Park Yeon Jin. Minhoaurs believes that Moon Dong Eun, who shouted, "From today on, my dream is you, Park Yeon Jin," will ultimately emerge victorious.
