Relaxing is made more painless when other people are involved so anything of that nature could be advantageous.

On top of feeling less stressful, working out will make you more positive in other areas of your daily life. If you look good, you tend to feel good, and self-confidence is an opposite feeling to one of being distressed. If you can set several goals with your activities, this can also help as your mind will begin to focus on other things even when you are not really doing your exercises.
