Soccer player and US national team forward Charlie Davis was seriously injured in a single car accident that happened Tuesday in Virginia. The car where Davies and two other women were riding crashed on a roadside metal railing. One of the two women who were with Davies died on the scene. Davies was brought to the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and a surgery that lasted three hours was done on him. The injuries he got from the accident is not yet disclosed but U.S. Soccer Federation spokesman Neil Buethe said that Davies' injury is not life-threatening but it could be career-threatening. Here is the statement of Coach Bob Bradley concerning the accident that injured Davies:

“Obviously, as a team we were saddened to learn this news, our thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and his family, as well as the people in the car and the families of the others involved. As a team, we are relying on each other in a moment that has for sure hit us all hard.”
